229 new coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Nigeria, taking the total to 8,068 in the country.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC broke the news on Monday via its verified Twitter handle.
Of the 229 new cases, 90 were confirmed in Lagos, 27 in Katsina, 26 in Imo, 23 in Kano, 14 in FCT, 12 in Plateau, Nine in Ogun, seven in Delta, five in Borno and Rivers, four in Oyo, three in Gombe, two in Osun and one each in Anambra and Bayelsa.
Deaths rose to 233 while total discharged cases in the country increased to 2,311.
