Coronavirus in Nigeria rose to 2,950 as 148 new infections were confirmed in the country.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC made the announcement on Tuesday night via its verified Twitter handle.
Of the 148 fresh cases, 43 were confirmed in Lagos, 32 in Kano, 14 in Zamfara, 10 in FCT, nine in Katsina, seven in Taraba, six in Borno and Ogun, five in Oyo, three in Edo, Kaduna and Bauchi, two in Adamawa and Gombe, and one each in Plateau, Sokoto and Kebbi.
Five new deaths were also recorded, taking the death toll to 98, while total discharged cases rose to 481.
NCDC tweeted: “148 new cases of #COVID19; 43-Lagos 32-Kano 14-Zamfara 10-FCT 9-Katsina 7-Taraba 6-Borno 6-Ogun 5-Oyo 3-Edo 3-Kaduna 3-Bauchi 2-Adamawa 2-Gombe 1-Plateau 1-Sokoto 1-Kebbi.
