US hip-hop star, Kanye West has joined the list of celebrities helping families in need by donating money to people of his past and present hometowns affected by the deadly coronavirus pandemic.
According to Daily Mail, the 42-year-old rapper donated money to two non-profit organizations that help feed people in need. One, the Dream Centre, located in his adopted home of Los Angeles, while the other, We Women Empowered, in his original hometown of Chicago.
His contribution to We Women Empowered will help expand its services of providing meals to the elderly. Founder Josephine Wade said she was ‘beyond words’ when she learned of West’s game-changing offer. “And in one call, in an instant today, our world has changed” she said.
