After revealing that he received a $2 million offer to promote a cryptocurrency fraud, American musician and billionaire Kanye West, often known as Ye, sparked a social media frenzy.

The rapper, who recently made news for halting traffic so his wife could have a roadside picture session, revealed that the scam entailed publishing a phoney advertisement and then claiming his account was compromised.

Kanye West claims that the scam would have involved him spreading false information to his millions of followers before claiming that his account had been compromised. Nevertheless, individuals who were harmed might have lost their money at that time.

“I was proposed 2 million dollars to scam my community. Those left of it. I said no and stopped working with their person who proposed it,” Kanye West said in a viral tweet on Friday, February 7.

The rapper provided a screenshot in his article that demonstrated the intended course of events for marketing “fake ye currency” as evidence.

The snapshot shows that West would receive $750,000 up front in exchange for sharing the cryptocurrency promotion and keeping it active for eight hours. After that, he could claim that his account was compromised and that he didn’t create the post.

16 hours later, a $1.25 million payoff would follow
