The Israeli cabinet is set to vote on a deal brokered in Doha, Qatar, which aims to end the ongoing conflict in Gaza.
Hamas official Izzat al-Risheq confirmed that the agreement meets all of the group’s conditions, including the full withdrawal of Israeli forces, the return of displaced people, and a permanent ceasefire.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu expressed gratitude to U.S. President Joe Biden and President-elect Donald Trump for their role in facilitating the deal.
The conflict, which began on October 7, 2023, has resulted in the deaths of at least 46,707 Palestinians and left 110,265 wounded.
