What You Will Do

As a Communications & Design Intern, you will be an integral part of the SDSN team, assisting in the development and implementation of communication strategies to advance their sustainability mission. This internship will allow you to build your skills in:

Social Media: Support the team in crafting and managing social media content, helping to amplify the SDSN’s messaging across various platforms.

Graphic Design: Collaborate with the communications team to create visually appealing designs for online content, reports, and presentations.

Content Creation: Assist in the development of content that promotes SDSN’s initiatives, including blog posts, newsletters, and more.

Campaign Support: Contribute to global campaigns that promote the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and engage audiences through innovative digital strategies.

Key Qualifications

Eligibility to work in the United States is required.

Current undergraduate or graduate student in marketing or communications.

Proficient in the use of Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn.

Experience with digital content creation tools (Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere, After Effects, Canva, etc.) is highly desirable, especially video.

Able to manage multiple tasks, is well-organized, and works well both as part of an international team and independently.

Experience and/or interest in sustainable development preferred.

Fluent in English (oral and written) is required.

Internship Details

Start Date: Flexible, but ideally by early 2025

Duration: 6-month internship, with potential for extension

Location: New York, NY or remote (based in the US)
