CDS Musa promises to Crush Insecurity Along Zaria Axi
The Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Christopher Musa, has promised to deal decisively with insecurity along the Zaria axis and other troubled parts of the nation.
General Musa made the promise when he received separate courtesy visits from the Emir of Kano, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero, and his Zazzau counterpart, Mallam Ahmed Nuhu Bamali, on Thursday, at the Defence Headquarters (DHQ), Abuja.
The Emir of Zauzau, said he came to thank the CDS for his foresight in visiting the palace to condole with the emirate over the death of about eight worshippers in the recent Zaria Central Mosque collapse.
He also prayed for the Armed Forces of Nigeria (AFN) successes in all its operations, while commending the AFN for maintaining peace in the nation.
The Emir of Kano, who led other emirate chiefs to DHQ, said the AFN has contributed significantly to the history of Nigeria. He expressed the emirate’s appreciation for the immense sacrifices of the Military to nation building.
Alhaji Aminu further disclosed that there is the need for the military to be encouraged, while commending the good working relationships existing between the emirate council and the 3 Brigade in Kano. He added that Kano and Nigeria are safe with the assurance of the country’s traditional rulers’ support.
In his response to the Emir of Zauzau, the CDS, General Musa, asserted that the Emir’s visit would go a long way in boosting troops’ morale. He thanked the first-class Emir for his show of love to the AFN and assured Nigerians of the military’s resolve to tackle insecurity in the country.

The CDS thanked the Emir and good people of Kano for their resilience to insecurity challenges in the North West and pledged to support all parts of the nation to combat criminality.
