Ground Troops kill Boko Haram Commander, Rescue Civilian
Troops of 144 Battalion in collaboration with hybrid forces have neutrialised Boko Haram commander, Ari Ghana, and five of his bodyguards in the North East state of Borno.
The notorious Commander recently led an attack on a military escort patrol at Nvaha Village along Gwoza to Limankara, killing four passengers and military personnel.
Zagazola reports that the troops engaged and killed the terrorists in Takaskala in Gwoza Local Government Area.
In another development, Nigerian Troops of 195 Battalion Joint Task Force North East Operation HADIN KAI DAJI rescued local farmers kidnapped by Boko Haram terrorists in the North East of Borno State.
It was gathered that Troops of 195 Battalion in conjunction with hybrid forces and Civilian Joint Tasks Force on fighting patrol made contact with terrorists attempting to kidnap farmers at Maiwa Village, Mafa LGA.
The encounter, the troops opened heavy fire on the terrorists forcing them to flee, leaving 9 local farmers consisting of 3 women and 6 men that were abducted.
The troops also recovered one AK 47 rifle, one magazine and 30 rounds of 7.62mm special ammunition.
