The Aitah’s Golden Arrow quiz competition is set to host its second edition in Benin City, Edo State.
The MeridianSpy gathered that the competition will hold its grand finale at Festus Iyayi multi-purpose hall, University of Benin, on 14 June, 2023, with an expectant wide participation from students across secondary schools in the state.
In a statement released by the organisers on Monday, Eddy Aitah, noted that the event is geared towards enhancing talents of students, encourage excellent performance among young students and to incubate them for their roles as future leaders.
He said, “the winner of this year’s edition will cart away with the sum of N2,000,000 as first prize. The 1st and 2nd runners-up will be walking away with N1,500,000 and N1,000,000 respectively, alongside other consolation prizes which will given to other students.
The Meridianspy reports that the 1st edition in 2022 produced winners in different categories who walked away with both grand and consolation prizes.
The statement read: “We are set to change the narrative as far as educational excellence is concerned in Edo state and Nigeria at large. Ours is a dream borne out of purpose and the compelling need to encourage excellence and equip students across Nigeria for their role as leaders of tomorrow.
“We are starting from Edo state, and we hope to extend our operational tentacles across different schools in Nigeria and Africa in years to come. Aitah’s Golden Arrow Quiz is some sort of revolution in the Nigerian education system which is posed at appreciate value and encourage excellence.”
Aitah’s Golden Arrow quiz is the brain child of Mr. Eddy Aitah, in collaboration with his partners. The event is solely sponsored by Mr. Eddy Aitah.
Eddy Aitah is a US-based Nigerian social reformer who believes he can contribute in changing the narrative that has bedevilled the education system in Nigeria by encouraging students to keep up with their best.
Aitah is a sefless philanthropist who is engaged in a deluge of charity and empowerment works across his home state, Edo and Nigeria at large.
He hails from Igueben Local Government Area of Edo State, Nigeria.
