Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State has won the Saturday governorship election in the state.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared Governor Akeredolu the winner of the polls after defeating his closest rival and candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Eyitayo Jegede, in 12 of the 18 Local Government Areas where the election held.
