President Muhammadu Buhari has received samples of coronavirus vaccine made by Russia.
Alexey Shebarshin, Russia ambassador to Nigeria, delivered samples of the vaccine to Osagie Ehanire, minister of health, at his office in Abuja on Friday.
Early results from Russia’s COVID-19 vaccine showed no negative side effects, a study published in the peer-reviewed medical journal, The Lancet revealed just hours ago.
“Preliminary results from Russian trials find that COVID19 vaccine candidates led to no serious adverse events and elicit antibody response,” a tweet from the journal’s Twitter account read.
