Lagos State Government has announced the discharge of thirteen coronavirus patients who recovered and tested negative twice for the disease.
This takes the total number of recoveries from the disease to 541 in the state.
The Lagos State Ministry of Health made the announcement on Thursday via its verified Twitter handle.
Four of the patients who recovered were discharged from the Mainland Infectious Disease Hospital at Yaba, and nine from the Lagos University Teaching Hospital, LUTH Isolation Centres.
The tweet reads: “Breaking! 13 #COVID19Lagos patients; 2 females & 11 males; all Nigerians have been discharged from our Isolation facilities at Yaba & LUTH to reunite with the society.
“The patients; 4 from Mainland Infectious Disease Hospital, Yaba & 9 from LUTH Isolation Centres have fully recovered & tested negative twice consecutively to #COVID19
“With this, the number of patients successfully managed & discharged in Lagos has risen to 541.”
