The governments of Lagos and Katsina have announced the discharge of six and four coronavirus patients respectively in their states.
The Lagos state government, through the state’s health ministry, announced on Saturday night via its Twitter handle, the discharge of the six COVID-19 patients who tested negative twice for the virus.
The Lagos health ministry tweeted: “Six more #COVID19 Lagos patients; 3 females & 3 males were today discharged from the @LUTHofficial Isolation facility to reunite with the society The number of patients successfully managed and discharged in Lagos now 123.”
The total number of active cases in Lagos now stands at 519, out of the 670 confirmed to be infected with the disease..
Similarly, In Katsina State, speaking to newsmen on Saturday, the Chairman of COVID-19 Public Enlightenment Committee in Daura Local Government Area, Alhaji Hussaini Umar Rafindadi disclosed that the four patients discharged in the state were family members of the late Dr Aliyu Yakubu Daura, the state index case, who died from complications of the virus.
