The Lagos State government has announced the discharge of four coronavirus patients who tested negative twice for the disease.
Lagos State governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu who broke the news on Saturday via his verified twitter handle, said the patients; 3 males and 1 female, were discharged from the Infectious Disease Hospital at Yaba and the Onikan Isolation Centre in the state to unite with the society.
This brings the number of discharged COVID-19 patients in the state to 94.
Sanwo-Olu tweeted: “Dear Lagosians, Today, 4 more persons; 3 males and 1 female were discharged to join the society. The patients; 2 from the Infectious Disease Hospital, Yaba and 2 others from Onikan Isolation Centre have fully recovered and tested negative twice consecutively to #COVID19.
“This brings the number of patients successfully managed and discharged from our isolation facilities to 94.”
In another tweet, the governor lamented: “Lagos has lost 13 people to #COVID19.
“Each person had a unique story and came from a different background.
“Today, we mourn them and recommit to doing all we can to slow the spread of #COVID19.
“The risks are real, let’s #StayAtHome and follow guidelines from @LSMOH and @NCDCgov.”
