The Nigerian senate has announced the partial closure of its activities to members of the public in order to prevent the spread of the deadly coronavirus disease at the National Assembly complex.
Senate President, Ahmad Lawan, on Thursday made the announcement after its held a closed-door plenary session.
Lawan said all forms of public hearing and excursion of students to the Senate have been suspended till further notice.
The Senate President also announced the closure of its gallery where journalists and members of the public, usually converge to observe plenary proceedings.
