The Lagos State Ministry of Health has requested that all passengers on British Airways flight BA 75 which brought in the third case patient who tested positive to the deadly coronavirus disease to self-isolate.
The state Commissioner for Health, Prof Akin Abayomi, announced this on Tuesday as a means to contain the spread of the virus by passengers who may have had contact with the female patient that tested positive to the disease.
The Lagos government also asked passengers on the British flight to call the following numbers: 08023169485, 08033565529, 08052817243, 08028971864, 08059758886, 08035387653 for urgent medical help.
The 30-year-old Nigerian female who tested positive to COVID-19; Nigeria’s third case, had arrived in the British flight and self-isolated herself on government’s recommendation.
She had developed symptoms of the deadly virus during self-isolation and is currently in the isolation centre at a mainland General Hospital in Lagos, the state government disclosed.
